Statement of Faith
The Gospel:
We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins as an atoning sacrifice according to the Scriptures. Salvation is found in none other than Jesus Christ. Salvation is a gift from God, not based on any merit or works of those who believe for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
(John 3:16; Romans 3:23; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
Word of God:
We believe that the Bible is God-breathed, infallible, inerrant, and complete from Genesis to Revelation and in it we can find all that we need for life and godliness.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:3)
God:
We believe in one triune God who is creator, sustainer, and sovereign over all things.
(Psalm 103:19; Genesis 1)
Jesus:
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. He was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life on earth as fully God and fully man. He died on the cross as our atonement for sin and rose again on the third day; He then ascended to be at the right hand of the Father and will return in power and glory.
(Luke 2; Colossians 2:16; Acts 1)
Holy Spirit:
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person of the Godhead. He convicts of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He personally indwells all who believe in Jesus Christ.
(John 16:8; 2 Timothy 1:14)
Gifts:
We believe that each believer is given spiritual gifts at the moment of salvation; the sign gifts of (healing, tongues, and miracles through man) have ceased.
(1 Corinthians 12:4-7; 1 Corinthians 13:8; 1 Corinthians 14:22)
